Documented on a variety of Dictaphones, digital recorders and smart phones, SURROUND presents a crude, fragmentary and playful notebook of electronic sound generation and field recording. Recorded on the coastline alongside the Vale of Glamorgan (Wales) during a 2 day trip in 2015. SURROUND is something different from the stale academic realm of field recording. It is about play and experimentation with no real end goal. Walking, talking, joking, playing letting the mind wander in a healthy way and enjoying the freedom of the coastline.
